Unlike the football team from which this lot takes its name, Leeds rockers the Kaiser Chiefs are getting better with each year that passes. Their hugely successful debut Employment won them just about everything winnable in the UK, which had the bloodthirsty British press first gushing praise and then predicting that the follow-up would be an enormous let down. But true to form, the Kaisers have produced yet another record jam-packed with hits likely to be played more or less incessantly on MTV for the following six months.

Ruby, the first single, is currently all over local radio and has the sort of universally pleasing tune that might even see The Kaiser Chiefs challenging Kurt Darren for airplay at the Dros.
