Spray It Don’t Say It
Graffiti might have been given a rap on the knuckles in the courts recently, but perhaps it would have fared better had the defence attorney been able to show the following YouTube clips as exhibits A through D. |
 Exhibit A – Robo Can
In Brazil, a can operated by a robot and on a sort of trapeze rope sprays a landscape with unnerving accuracy.

 Exhibit B – Laser Boy
By the looks of the scenery, this must be somewhere grey and drab in North Eastern Europe, but the grim scene just adds to the magic as lasers are projected onto the side of huge factory.

 Exhibit C – Wonderwall
Here, the artist known only as ‘Blu’ produces an ambiguous, William Kentridge-esque animation painted on public walls in Buenos Aires. And the defence rests.

 Exhibit D – Banksy does Palestine
And finally, the daddy of graffiti art, Banksy – in what is claimed to be the only video of the man at work – christens the wall dividing Israel and Palestine.
